A period of snow is expected this morning. The snow will develop prior to dawn and continue into the early to mid morning hours. Brief bursts of heavier snowfall are likely; and untreated roads will likely become snow covered and travel hazardous, particularly across the Chicago Metropolitan area. Snow may mix with graupel or snow pellets at times.
