Fog has developed across interior portions of South Florida early this morning. Visibility is expected to be one mile or less across these areas through 8 AM, with some locations down to as low as a half-mile. Smoke from the wildfires in the Big Cypress National Preserve will mix with the fog and cause low visibility over the eastern half of Collier County. Motorists are advised to drive with caution this morning as visibilities may widely vary over short distances. Use low beam headlights and leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the road when encountering significant reductions in visibility. Allow extra time to travel to destinations.
