Light snow, freezing drizzle, and drizzle will be possible today. Precipitation will increase in coverage late this morning and then persist through the afternoon before diminishing tonight. Any snow and ice accumulations will be light, with less than one inch of snow accumulation and no more than a light glaze of ice. Accumulation potential is greatest along and south of the KY Highway 80/Hal Rogers Parkway corridor. Temperatures will hover near the freezing mark through mid-afternoon, then begin to drop into the teens overnight. This will result in a hard freeze of any melted ice and snow. In addition to the light wintry precipitation, areas of fog will reduce visibility at times. Locally dense fog may result in visibility reductions of one-quarter mile or less, especially southeast of the KY Highway 80/Hal Rogers Parkway corridor. Travelers are advised to use caution. Use low-beam headlights and increase your following distance. Avoid sudden braking and/or accelerations through curves and when approaching intersections, in case you encounter slick roads.
